Rompin' Rovers is absolutely commited to excellence in Dog Daycare. Our goal is for your dog to have the time of his/her life socializing in a safe, stable group-play environment. We send your dog home happy, balanced and ready to rest! While your pup is here he/she will have the added advantage of being reminded of manners while having a blast. We encourage good behavior and attention through positive re-enforcement while discouraging unwanted behaviors such as "jumping", "fence rushing", "mounting" and "nipping" with straight forward verbal reminders that you can use at home. Most of our clients have noticed improvements in minor behavior problems after a short time attending our daycare regularly. Sarah Tripp ( Owner and Trainer) is on the floor with the dogs every day and personally arranges play groups every morning to optimize fun and decrease potential stress! See testimonials by clicking on the link at the bottom of our home page.
The fun at Rompin' Rovers begins when you drop your dog off as early as 6:45 am! Dogs will be matched with other dogs of their size and temperament on one of our spacious playgrounds for a full day of play. Playtimes are fully supervised and are accompanied with training reminders. The Rompin' Rovers staff will interact with the dogs in their group and individually.
At 12:00 pm, those pups that are having lunch will be put up in individual kennels to enjoy a liesurely snack in peace. After their tummies settle for about half an hour, they are back out on the daycare floor to resume their fun-filled day of group play.
Positive reinforcement, safety, cleanliness, and fun are our priorities at Rompin' Rovers. Playgrounds and all used equipment are sanitized nightly. Potty incidents are expected and cleaned immediately throughout the day.
Dogs displaying aggression towards other dogs are not admitted on to the playground . If your dog is not ready for group play, we will recommend a training program to help. We always do our best to provide a solution for every client.
Rompin' Rovers is a full service training facility offering Basic Obedience Training, AdvancedObedience Training, and Behavior Counseling. 6 Week Basic Obedience Package
This is suitable for all dogs over 4 months of age, regardless of any previous training. For slightly older dogs who have never had any formal obedience training, it will serve as a great start. The basic commands - such as sit, come, down, wait, drop it, leave it, stay, and loose leash walking - are just some of the behaviors learned during the 6 weeks. Since this training is taught on an individual, private basis, we are able to address many other specific issues or goals outside of basic obedience during the six weeks. You will meet weekly with Sarah for instruction. Please call Sarah at 727-548-8300 for scheduling or Email sibetrainer@yahoo.com.
Advanced Obedience Package 6 weeks
This package is only available to those who have gone through basic obedience training with Sarah or evaluated and found ready for advanced obedience training . During the advanced obedience 6 week package we will refine some of the basics while adding distractions and working in public places. Your dog will learn" stand", more formal "heeling" under control, "stay with distractions" and while owner leaves the room plus informal off leash work ( dependant on individual skill level ). Again, this program is flexible depending on your individual goals as all packages are tailored to specifically serve you and your dog. You will meet with Sarah once a week.
We also offer obedience training by the session or individual behavior help consultations. Basic Obedience sessions are $85/ hour. All other individual and behavior sessions are scheduled, priced and implemented based on the specific issues and goals at hand.
